To: Mission-minded friends who serve Pastor Richard & Hellen Makani and their Seeds team.

What: Linda Cooper, Jimmy Cooper’s mom, traveled with Sheila Parsons-Talley, an internationally acclaimed artist, to Kitale, Kenya October 2nd. Sheila plans to paint 18 watercolors representing our Chicks for Children Foundation “Fun Raising-Fund Raiser” campaign. We plan to produce 4,000 gift-wrapped packages of note cards with 12 cards per package. We will also sell the 18 original paintings. To see samples of Sheila’s work, visit www.sparsons.com. Purchasers may designate which area of Seeds Ministries they wish to support.

When: Our goal date for selling the 18 originals and note cards is November 15th.

Why: Our purpose for such a “Fun Raising-Fund Raiser” is two-fold.

To raise funds for the Seeds Ministries – Seeds Children’s Home, the New Orphanage Build for 100 more girls from the Kipsongo Slum, the Seeds Stone Medical Clinic, the Seeds Bread of Life Center, Seeds Academy, the Widows Assisted Living Center, the Chicken Enterprise, Pastoral/Disciple Development, Mt. Elgon Project, and so forth.
To increase awareness and gain new partners for the support of the Seeds Ministries.

How: The note cards could be used as:

Gifts for personal use
Table gifts for mission banquets
Auction items
Fun Raising-Fund Raiser gifts
Mission Trip fund raising
Gifts for family and friends
New member gifts
Gifts in honor of or In memory of someone
Youth fund-raiser (selling door-to-door)
Appreciation gifts (for support over a certain level)

Economics: The Chicks for Children Foundation will offer the 12 card package for a suggested donation of $15.00. Supporting organizations can order bulk quantities. Preorders of 50 or more packages can be purchased at $10.00 a package prior to November 1st, 2012 and $12.00 a package after that time.
